***INTEL HONEY DELIVERIES WILL CHANGE IN 2012, YET TO BE DETERMINED***

Honey is a bi-product here on the farm.  Neighbor (and cousin) Gene,
who lives just across the field, is our beekeeper here on Sun Gold
Farm.  Gene does not do anything halfway, and is a walking
encyclopedia on the little-known facts and impressive capabilities
of bees and their by-product.  We here on the farm are most
interested in their pollination capabilities, and usually have 8-10
hives here every summer to work in the cucumbers, squash, orchard,
and pumpkin fields.  We not only appreciate the bees' efforts, but
we enjoy watching them go about business every day. We have all
heard the expression "busy as a bee", and it is oh so true!  The
bee's single goal in life is to feed it's queen back at the hive,
and in doing so, they are producing fruits and vegetables for you
and I. They make thousands of trips into the fields daily to visit
blossoms and return to the hive with nectar and pollen.  In return,
we not only get an increase in vegetable and fruit production, but
we get copious amounts ofnatural, healthful honey.

The honey will be from bees working our fields, and
also surrounding hedgerows and yards. It will be raw
honey so as to contain the most health benefits.  This
is an add-on to the 2011 harvest share. We will only
sell 100 of these shares, so the honey will only be
available until sold out. If you are already a member,
just send us a note with your honey check to claim
your share of our farm's sweetness.

Health Benefits and Uses
Honey is most commonly known to be a great sweetener.  But, it is so much more.  Local, raw
honey helps combat allergies, can be used as a natural antibiotic on cuts and abrasions, and
even takes the "sting" out of a bee sting!  Honey should not be consumed by children under 6
months old for digestive reasons.
